60W Industrial Linear LED Light

The MAG-EX-LN-02P-60D is a 60W industrial linear LED light with a 1229 mm aluminum body, IP66 protection and a wide 120° beam. American standard UL844. Available with AC or low-voltage DC input, five mounting arrangements and optional emergency operation, it can be configured for plant walkways, equipment areas and maintenance platforms.

A 60W option for plant lighting

The 60D brings a 60W power option to the long-body LN-02P range. Its linear enclosure suits layouts along access routes, process equipment and service platforms, with mounting choices for both fixed and suspended installations.

A 120° beam and diffusing PC cover provide broad light distribution. Choose the color temperature and supply configuration to match the rest of the lighting schedule, then select the mounting and connection accessories for the site.

The wide beam is paired with an anti-glare PC cover with light transmission above 90%. Position the fixture to light the working area without placing the diffuser directly in the operator’s normal line of sight.

3000K–6500K

Color temperature is selected at ordering. CRI ≥70 and efficacy of 120–140 lm/W complete the optical specification. Match the chosen CCT across a work area when adding to an existing installation.

Select the supply before selecting accessories

The 60D is available for AC100–277V, 50–60Hz, or as a separate DC12–24V version.

The AC option has PF >0.95 and THD <10%. Driver specifications include 4 kV / 6 kV surge protection. For multi-fixture circuits, include the supply and circuit arrangement in the inquiry so the appropriate electrical configuration can be quoted.

The aluminum alloy enclosure provides a rigid structure and transfers heat away from the light source. The PC cover combines corrosion resistance with light diffusion, while the fixture construction provides shock and vibration resistance.

IP66 protection and a -40°C to +55°C operating range support industrial service. The standard specification includes 50,000-hour L70 life.

Mount to the structure you have

Select the mounting arrangement according to the supporting structure, required light direction and maintenance access.

1. Ceiling Mounting

Mount the fixture directly to the ceiling or an overhead support for a clean, low-profile installation.

2. Wall Mounting

The wall-mounting bracket offers an adjustable angle from 0° to ±60°, allowing the light direction to be set for the target area.

3. Pole Mounting

A pole-mounting arrangement is available when the luminaire needs to be positioned away from a wall or ceiling surface.

4. Pendant Mounting

Use pendant mounting when the fixture needs to be suspended from a fixed overhead structure.

5. Pendant Chain Mounting

Two suspension points support chain mounting for installations that require additional hanging flexibility.

Installation Display

Battery-backed lighting when specified

An emergency package can be included where the project requires lighting during a supply interruption. Quoted choices are 8W for 1.5 hours or 12W for 3 hours; the final battery package is confirmed with the order.

This is a separate operating mode from the normal 60W supply. Include the required duration and site temperature when requesting the emergency version.

For industrial lighting rows and work routes

The long linear format can be considered for equipment access areas, maintenance passages and work platforms in oil and gas, petrochemical, wastewater, food and beverage, tunnel and marine projects. The ordered configuration must match the location’s requirements.

Where fixtures are installed in a row, account for beams, pipes and equipment that interrupt the light path. For retrofit work, record fixing positions and connection access before choosing a mounting kit or reusing the existing layout.

Frequently asked questions

What information is needed to work out fixture spacing?

For a 60D layout, provide the area dimensions, mounting height, required work-plane illumination and the position of pipes, beams or equipment. The 120° beam describes its nominal spread, not a guaranteed spacing between lights. Use photometric data for the ordered configuration to assess overlap and shadows, particularly along narrow platforms or beside tall equipment.

Can the 60D replace an existing four-foot fluorescent fixture?

The 1229 mm body is approximately 48.4 inches long, but nominal four-foot size does not make it a drop-in replacement. Check the fixing centers, support strength, supply and end-connection space against the existing installation. The replacement also needs a lighting assessment; fluorescent tube wattage and LED fixture wattage are not directly equivalent measures of delivered illumination.

How do I choose between the AC and DC versions?

Order the 60D for the actual circuit: AC100–277V at 50–60Hz, or the separate DC12–24V configuration. For a DC installation, give the nominal voltage, source type and cable run so voltage drop can be considered. Do not connect a standard AC unit to a DC supply on the assumption that the driver accepts both.

What should an electrician check when adding several 60D lights to a circuit?

Each 60D has a 60W normal-operation rating. The AC specification includes power factor above 0.95 and THD below 10%, but these values do not establish the maximum number of fixtures per circuit. Final circuit sizing also depends on supply voltage, driver inrush, protection devices and cable conditions. Request the driver information required for the electrical design.

Which cable glands are supplied with the American-standard version?

Cable glands are not included with the 60D American-standard fixture. Specify the cable type, outside diameter and installation requirements, or identify the conduit system being used. The end openings are 3/4 NPT; entry accessories and closures need to be selected for the complete installation rather than by thread size alone.

What needs to be checked for wall or suspended mounting?

Allow for a 7.7 kg fixture plus the selected accessories. Wall mounting offers 0° to ±60° adjustment with the appropriate kit; pendant and pendant-chain arrangements are also available. Check the support, connection access and intended aiming position before selecting hardware. Overall fixture dimensions do not provide the fixing-center dimensions of every mounting kit.

Does IP66 mean the light can be used with any washdown process?

No. IP66 is the enclosure’s dust and water-ingress rating, not blanket approval for every cleaning chemical, water temperature or pressure-cleaning method. The 60D has an aluminum alloy body and corrosion-resistant PC cover. For washdown areas, provide the cleaning conditions so material compatibility and the complete entry arrangement can be checked.
